How We Work

At Life Detox Centre we refer to the work we do as Colon Therapy. The treatment works on the principle of a small amount of water being inserted into the colon at any one time, which is pulsed in the colon, as a form of internal massage, stimulating the colon to defecate naturally.

The Method
We use the Brunelle Method of Colon Hydrotherapy. The method is established on the basis of time proven proficiency and knowledge in this field, along with the modern advancements of technology. Few colon treatments can equal this method in its comprehensive and effective results.

It is a preferred method because of its safety, and its ability to utilize a pulsating action in the colon and to work with the colon's reflex points, thus making it a therapy, which works with the whole body. This method ensures no force or water pressure is used.

Pure Medical Oxygen
We use pure, medical oxygen circulated in the water throughout the therapeutic treatment, producing an antiseptic and healing effect on the colon. Research has shown that not only is this life giving element readily absorbed by the body, it also destroys anaerobic pathogens and rejuvenates the tissue walls.

Colon Reflexology and Thermo-Hydropathy
As the colon has reflex points to other parts of the body, the therapist can cause the agitation of the water at various temperatures to be directed to specific points within the colon, thereby inciting specific organs or glands in the body to perform better.

Before your first colonic
To ensure our clients the best possible service, information is carefully gathered and an iris reading taken to determine the condition of the colon and other organs of the body before the treatment.

During your colonic
A therapist is with you all of the time, monitoring the progress of the treatment and ensuring that the appropriate pulsating and water temperature is maintained according to the needs of your colon and depending on its condition. A gentle abdominal massage may also be employed during the treatment.

After your colonic
The therapist will be able to advise you further of the condition of your colon, what may be required for you to continue to look after your health. If you like, you can relax after your colonic with a cup of herbal tea or water.

Client Education
During your pre and post treatment interview, our therapists use informative documentation and visual aids to assist you in learning and understanding more about the significance of your colon, and its vital role in assisting the overcoming of health issues and maintianing good health. Information recourses are available to take with you from the therapist and from reception. We also offer you continuing support with your health via our Client Support Service, whereby you can feel free to contact us at anytime as a follow up to your treatments or programs, or just if you have concerns about a health issue.
