More Information . . .
All our therapists are certified with the Australian Institute of Health and registered with the Australian Colon Health Association Inc.
Susan Court Cert. CI, ACHA, ATMS
Susan has been our Clinic Manager for five years. She has Diplomas in Remedial Massage and Lymphatic Drainage, as well as level three Certification in Assistant Nursing. After studying the Chevallum method, and later specialising in the Brunelle Method and studying with John Bruniges, colon hydrotherapy pioneer and colon therapy specialist, Susan has preferred to direct her focus to colon hydrotherapy.
Susan is an avid spokesperson for tissue cleansing, having worked with the Living Valley Springs Health Retreat team and having undergone many cleanses over the years. She has a lot of wisdom in relation to diet and cleansing where she has assisted our clients for over five years.
Janice Walker Cert. CI, ACHA
Janice's interest in cleansing and detoxification began over thirty years ago when she was introduced to a course in natural therapies. Since then she has raised her family in natural health and has been an entusiastic supporter of all things natural, and frequently attends health retreats and tissue cleansing programs.
After regular colon hydrotherapy treatments for thirty years, Janice decided to focus her enthusiasm for health and detoxification by studying Colon Hydrotherapy with the Australian Institute of Health.
John Bruniges ACHA, ATMS
John is a pioneer and specialist of colon hydrotherapy and visits our clinic from time to time.
In 1986, John and his wife Mary established the Narrabri Natural Health Centre, New South Wales, practising as a Naturopath and Colon Therapist. John has an array of studies within natural health including Diplomas in Iridology, Biochemistry, Colonic Irrigation, and certification in Urine & Saliva Analysis, Dark Field Microscosophy and herbal medicine.
In 1989, John and Mary established Taringa Health Centre, firstly in Brisbane and later relocating to the Gold Coast. The centre works only with the Brunelle Method of colon hydrotherapy, a method which John structured and recorded in the early 1990s, and which is now used within Australia and internationally.
As well as practicing as a Colonic Therapy Specialist, John is asked to lecture final year Diploma of Naturopathy students, in Colon Therapy, at the Academy of Natural Therapies, a firmly established and respected Australia natural health institution, which is now part of the Queensland TAFE system. John is also invited to give workshops and lectures on colon health, for various health and personal development groups in Australia.
In the mid 1990s John, along with Human Potential Consultant, Craig Ogier, began to put together an educational institution to support colon health education. In 1999 the Australian Institute of Health was established, and now offers vocational courses in colon hydrotherapy, with graduates across Australia and internationally including New Zealand, USA, UK, Ireland and Hong Kong.
In 1999, John was instrumental in beginning the Australian Colon Health Association Inc., which accredits and supports colonic therapists and educational institutions. He is currently president of the association.
